William Lair Hill family photographs collection [graphic], circa 1850-1950

Photographs of members of the William Lair Hill family of Portland, Or. William Lair Hill (1838-1924) was an editor and lawyer who was responsible for codifying much of Oregon law. Most of the photographs are daguerreotype, tintype, and print portraits of various members of the Hill family and the related Chandler and Field families, as well as assorted friends and relatives. There are also a number of photographs taken in Alaska, circa 1900-1950, as well as other views of family residences and scenery in the Pacific Northwest.
